April Lawton is an accomplished educator with over a decade of experience in Nebraska's adult education landscape. She served as a Program Facilitator at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, where her roles included teaching, curriculum development, and leading professional development for instructors. April's earlier experience as an Adult Education teacher within the Nebraska Department of Corrections reflects her commitment to expanding educational opportunities for incarcerated individuals.
She holds a Master's in Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction and Reading, along with a Bachelor's in Education focused on Elementary and English as a Second Language. April also possesses a Nebraska teaching certificate covering elementary, ESL, and reading. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds joy in reading, enjoys time with loved ones, and is learning the Ukulele.
