About me
Alex Lubbers is an ELL Coordinator at Kirkwood Community College and previously taught high school German for eight years. To support instructors and help improve instruction and outcomes throughout the program, she has developed and implemented professional development targeting vocabulary, backward design, formative assessments, and instructional strategies. She earned a B.A. in German and Linguistics from the University of Iowa and maintains an Iowa teaching license in German and ESL.
