2025 Iowa Adult Education and Literacy Summer Conference

We’re seeing growing collaboration between adult education and workforce development. One key movement is integrating apprenticeships with adult education, on-the-job training (OJT), and credential attainment.
This session will explore how MiSide connects the NCCER curriculum with GED and CCRS standards, while also meeting state MARC requirements. Participants will get to review lessons that combine high school equivalency (GED) prep with NCCER pre-apprenticeship credentialing.

This approach helps learners build skills that are directly relevant to their careers, making education more engaging and practical through contextualized lessons.
